Quality Assurance Assistant

Role:  Quality Assurance Assistant

Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Manchester Head Office

Compensation:Up to £24,000 per annum

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Working alongside the Operations and Product and Design Team, the Senior Quality Assurance Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Quality Assurance Manager in managing the quality of the products that are delivered within the business and working closely with all stakeholders in ensuring they consistently meet our quality standards.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support the Quality Assurance Manager in prioritising and planning workload for the QA Team. 
  • Continually drive and own processes within the QA team, and work with the QA Manager to continuously review and improve.
  • Inspect products delivered from external suppliers and ensure our standards are met.
  • Ensuring the quality of all completed items is always of a high standard.
  • Decide the route for rejected products and process accordingly.
  • Understanding of acceptable quality level (AQL) checking for faults and defects in garments.
  • Complete final quality check on all garments.
  • Pressing and spot cleaning of garments.
  • Liaise with the Returns department to resolve any return’s queries, and feedback quality issues to supplier for improvement.
  • Report any recurring/quality issue trends to the QA Manager, and Product and Design Team. 
  • Communicate with the Warehouse team when shipments arrive at the building in order to plan and prioritise styles that are launching or restocking.
  • Measuring garments against size specifications.
  • Use Google Sheets to log findings and other relevant information.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years experience in Quality Control/Assurance, or experience in a relevant discipline (i.e seamstress).
  • Experience working within a Warehouse environment is preferable. 

SKILLS

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Naturally confident with strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • A polite manner
  • Independent but enjoy working in a team and have a flexible approach to working
  • Able to work in a fluid, fast-paced, multi-channel environment.
  • Confident, assertive, and proactive, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with people at all levels.
  • You will be determined to go the extra mile to achieve results.
